New for Zoo Med these now contain the highest amounts of both UVB and UVA wavelengths provided by a fluorescent bulb, according to an independent laboratory analysis. Different than the 5.0 in that the wavelength penetrates a full farther 20-22" from the bulb's surface. Reptisun uses pure quartz glass sleeves. The bulb's UVA/UVB wavelength remains effective for 1 to 1-1/2 years. Note on Shipping Light Bulbs. Light bulbs are best shipped via UPS Ground. With UPS they are insured where the US Mail is not. With bulbs that are requested to ship mail and they are broken they have no warranty and will not be replaced. Some bulbs, i.e. Fluorescents and Mercury Vapor bulbs have to ship UPS. If we determine that an order need to ship UPS we have the right to change the shipping and charge the order accordingly.
