Preparing Your Reptile's Enclosure for Winter

As ambient temps begin to drop, it's a good time to plan your supplemental heat sources for your reptile or amphibian enclosure.

Whether housed indoors or outdoors, the new 14"x21" reptile radiant heat panel pictured above is an effective option that is safe, and best of all, is a huge energy saver—the average weekly energy cost to run it 24x7 is $3.02.

It's also UL certified, assembled in the US, and has a 3-year warranty; a standard above the other RHPs available on the market.

We love the design because it's easy to set up and clean, plus these hold up well to curious critters and flying substrates.

The 14"x21" Flush Mount Black Beauty Sweeter Heater is safe, energy efficient, indestructible, and reliable. This is an infrared radiant heater, intended to heat the animal, bird or reptile underneath; however, it will trap ambient heat within enclosures.

Ideal to use with a thermostat control within a reptile enclosure.

It's not a space heater and will not feel hot like one. Designed to be mounted flush to a wall or ceiling and comes with brackets and screws for easy mounting. There are no hot spots, develops a uniform heat pattern, and has a 3-year warranty. The surface temperature of the lens will range from a safe 160-180 degrees (F) of radiant heat and will not burn your animals.

For additional safety measures, the Sweeter Heater has an internal snap action thermal control to insure heaters turns off automatically when heat is not allowed to escape.

The 14"x21" model has almost 300 square inches of soft, uniform infrared heat. It uses less power to operate, it is unbreakable, it is sealed so it can be washed.
