The largest of the Sweeter Heater radiant heat panels (RHPs). Used for farrowing pigs, dog kennel runs, large reptile cages, bird cages, bird incubators and whelping. Excellent for heating arboreal reptiles and high humidity cage set ups. Rated at 150 watts of power and will heat an 11 by 40 inch area (440 square inches).
The Side Mount Sweeter Heater is safe, energy efficient, indestructible, and reliable. The SM models are designed to be mounted flush to the ceiling, wall or other flat surface, approximately 6-20 inches over the animals to be warmed.
The Sweeter Heater has no hot spots, develops a uniform heat pattern, and has a 3-year warranty. The surface temperature of the lens will range from a safe 160-180 degrees (F). It is designed to warm the animal, not the environment and is fully adjustable to maintain the ideal comfort level for your animals.
The Sweeter Heater’s soft, safe, gentle, infrared radiant heat, has been tested and proven by our customers since 1995. The lens temperature will not exceed 160-180 degrees and will not burn your animals. For additional safety measures, the Sweeter Heater has a snap-action thermal control to insure heaters turn off automatically when heat is not allowed to escape.
Sweeter Heaters are also ideal for use in chicken brooders, hen houses, whelping areas, kennel runs, farrowing units, dog and cat houses/crates, and bird and reptile cages.

HEATER INFORMATION AND START UP:
All of the materials we use in the Sweeter Heater are completely safe. The lens material is common fiberglass fire rated sheeting used in homes and the food industry. The shell is ABS styrene material (think refrigerator linings, toys, and other molded products). The insulation is a noncombustible EcoTouch Insulation utility blanket. The odor that is noted on a new heater is from the escalated final drying of the lens material (fiberglass and adhesives) as the heat is applied. The odor is normal and will go away in a day or so as the new materials dry out. Very close examination of the lens sometimes reveals small hairline cracks that are created as the lens dries. This is also normal.
