The 80 watt Zoo Med PowerSun UV Lamp is a high quality, UV mercury vapor lamp designed for use in terrariums or aviaries. The bulb is self-ballasted for precise and consistent exposure levels and releases UVA, UVB, and heat all from one bulb. The unit features nickle plated threading to prevent corrosion and damage.

These are not incandescent bulbs. Mercury Vapor bulbs incorporate an internal ballast. These bulbs can take up to 30 minutes to turn on.
